Positron Hospital is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of personal and sensitive personal information of patients, attendants, employees, consultants, trainees, vendors, and all stakeholders. This Policy is framed in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, IT Rules 2011, and applicable healthcare standards including NABH 5th Edition.

Information Collected

The Hospital may collect personal and sensitive information including identification and contact details, medical and clinical records, investigation reports, billing and insurance data, digital platform usage data (if applicable), and CCTV footage for security. Sensitive personal data includes health-related information as defined under law.

Purpose of Use

Information is collected and used solely for lawful purposes such as patient care and treatment, hospital administration, billing, insurance processing, statutory compliance, quality improvement, audits, accreditation, safety, and legal obligations. Any research or analysis is conducted using anonymized or aggregated data.

Consent and Rights

By availing services or sharing information, individuals provide informed consent for its use in accordance with this Policy. Consent may be withdrawn in writing; however, withdrawal may affect continuation of services where information is essential for medical care or legal compliance. Individuals may request access, correction, or updating of their information

Disclosure and Sharing

Information is shared strictly on a need-to-know basis with authorized hospital staff, diagnostic and treatment partners, insurance providers, TPAs, government health schemes, statutory authorities, and contracted service providers under confidentiality obligations

Data Security and Retention

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are implemented to protect information. Data is retained only for the period required under medical, legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. While best efforts are made, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Grievance Redressal

Privacy-related grievances may be addressed to the designated Grievance Officer. Details are available on the Hospital notice board or via info@positronhospital.com.

Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India, and courts having jurisdiction over the location of Positron Hospital shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
